May 2016

How's that for a vague title?
We need some planned group activities. It's too easy for us to get quiet and then the week's over and I'm all, "Wait! I didn't really get to talk with anyone!"

I have one activity planned (it's going to be so much fun!). Pam P said she has a technique to teach us (if I had a memory, I'd say which).

Who else would like to lead an activity of some sort? It can be a shoebox project, sharing a technique, lead a nature walk ( )...

I'm up to visiting the area if anyone else is. You'll have probably seen it all. It's a first for me though.

Pam - It's just using inks to layer with a mask. Nothing fancy.

I've never been to the Outer Banks, either.

I'm in for visiting the area. There are some great places to see. The Cape Hatteras lighthouse is a must if you've never been. The Wright Bros museum is great. I've love to go up to the Currituck lighthouse too. Daily swim will be fun and walks on the beach. Oh, looking forward to the week. Is it May yet?

Oh yeah, who did the jewelry demo last year? That looked like fun.

Bonnie makes jewelry using handmade paper beads. Maybe I can talk her into doing that. Her angel earrings and Christmas trees are really cute.

Just noticed - my counter is under 8 months now! :cool5:

I'll do something! Fun idea. Plus, I'll get to go sightseeing with you. No plans to break an ankle this year. Planning to take that week off. Yay!

No fractures, no surgeries!

I would like to explore a bit more of the OBX as well. We had such a fun trip over to Ocracoke last year.

Remember, a technique might be "old hat" to you but some of them could be new techniques to some of us. Or maybe just some we've forgotten about. Or some we just don't take the time to do. I'm not asking for a long, formal class. ;)

I am in hopes I can be back to walking before then. This brace does help but I'm supposed to be staying off my feet.

Unless it has sand tires, we have to keep to the pavement. ;)
