Pro Scrappers League. They divide people up into teams, it used to be in a sports sort of theme, you earn points for your team with layouts and cards, etc. Back in the day, it was very competitive. I have no idea now, Jill, Jen, anyone more qualified want to answer Keitha?

I used to get way too involved in PSL. I was captain of several teams even. hahahahaha. Bob HATED it when it was PSL time. He's very happy I'm no longer doing that. But I dropped out of CS about 4 years ago. I will say that that was when I was actively scrapping and made 99% of my pages. I haven't done much scrapping since.

I made my own paper pulp and then molded the pulp into flowers
and painted them for embellishments; AND they are still on the pages.

I just can't get motivated enough with the new(old by now)
format for their member forum, it's too much work to find
things, so I don't try finding things very often anymore

I haven't reregisterd for the same reason Elizabeth.
Same here, and it's waaaay too competitive! Farley, I remember a few years of competing and it got ugly behind the scenes! It went from making cards of art to mass producing folded paper with stamped images

The first year was fun - and I met so many of you that year. Then people started "saving" layouts for the next PSL to make it look like they made them during that week.
I think it started to encourage members to use their products (and then buy more). Most competitions have that goal in mind anyway. Then the challenges started getting silly (IMHO). Then people started acting childish.
You obviously can't control what motivates others.
I just know I'm much happier here!

Geez, I'm starting to regret even mentioning this topic. I never got into that competitive thing. Guess I'm too self-centered. I just want to get a few layouts done each week and I enjoy a challenge item or sketch. That's all.

You know how we are. We liked it the way it was. You should absolutely participate if you want and you should absolutely post about it here if you want.

I enjoyed the competition of the teams in the PSL
It motivated me to make time to get pages
done that would probably still be pictures wanting
to be put on paper. I got up earlier than normal
so that I could get pages ready to put together
and when I got home from work once I got DH
settled, I would go scrap. I don't do ALSB so my
pages took a bit more time to complete, but I
was on several winning teams.
In the beginning the purpose of the PSL was to get folks
to put photos on all those ALSB pages that they put together
and stored in their scrap rooms without photos. Some
ladies had and probably still have boxes of them
without photos.
I did enjoy the first one the best. I was on team orange
and the week that we had to scrap with the color of
our team name was a Hoot! I didn't know I had that many pieces
of orange paper

Jen, keep this going. I think it's great...the more challenges the better and without prizes involved all the better.

I was on Team Blue. Kelli was captain and Jen, you were Blue also, right?
