I did buy the set to stamp roses for my pages - as soon as I figure out the ink issue.

You might want to experiment using glossy or semi-glossy card stock with die inks (not pigment unless you want to heat emboss) and see how that works for you. I love dye inks on glossy and always get a crisp image this way. Another paper suggestion is Ranger Specialty Stamping card stock. It's lovely paper and images generally turn out perfect.
