Two Classes - 17 Cards!

Post by paddlegal »

Yesterday I spent the perfect way to deal with rain...I attended 2 back-to-back classes of Julie Ebersole. That little gal is an amazing bundle of high ennergy, talent, creativity and generosity. Her organization of handling 20 women in a very small space was a feat of wonder. Julie was so organized we were never waiting for a supply to make our cards. 10 cards were made in the morning and another 7 in the afternoon. Though a bit cramped working at tables strewn throughout a small stamp/paper shop, we were all able to complete these cards. I love every one of them. This is the 3rd time I've taken her classes and I learn a bunch of new stuff every time. Her CAS style always gets my attention.

Thanks for looking.

By the way, I have pinned that rainbow butterfly card several times. I love it. Want to try to make it with my own meagre supplies. Was it difficult?

Thanks Jen.

The only difficult part is opening up ALL those tiny wings. The butterflies are one large Memory Box die. On watercolor paper (the butterflies were pre-died for us) first get it wet with brushing water across it. Then we just dabbed, not painted, the colors one after another letting some blending of colors to happen. The trick is not to get it too wet but wet enough for the colors the merge a bit. Then open up all those wings and attach it to the card base. Quite easy all around.

Bob thought it looked like a lot of shredded paper, not butterflies.

I'm gonna try it with my PTI butterfly die. Won't be the same but I will try to copy you.

I :happywave: Julie Ebersole. I get a kick watching all of her videos. That is so nice that you are able to take her classes.

I had to look twice to see those butterflies.

Oh, and by the way, the cards are wonderful.

Great cards! I especially love the way the "thoughtful" phrase was stamped and over stamped on the top middle card.

Wow, they are all so nice. It's nice you are able to take classes from Julie. I'm looking forward to being in a city where these things are available to try. We never have any classes or crafty events to go to here in Podunk, Wy
