Woot, woot! I'm on the list! I'm coming to the beach!! Sent my $$ to Pam today, so I'm official.

I've never been to the OBX before, so am up for any and all activities. If I had to choose, these are the things at the top of my list: Wright Bros. N Memorial/Kitty Hawk, lighthouses, visit to the LSS, Ocracoke Island, and any opportunity to see birds/wildlife. I would love to see the wild mustangs!

Hmm, I might bring along one page kit to work on in all our spare time, LOL.

I came up with what I hope will be a fun crafting project for all of us. Beach treasure boxes!! I'm providing the boxes... got quite an assortment of cigar boxes today (the local tobacco shop may now have a new best shopper) .... so you'll all get to pick a box and decorate it however you want to! You can put your found shells in it or ON it.... and any other mixed media decorations.

So... plan ahead... bring whatever you'd like to put on your box... and bring all that stuff you were going to purge and everyone else can look through it and find goodies for their boxes, too. And bring glue... glue guns (I have a couple) .... and ModPodge or your fave mixed media glue.

They can be as fancy or as simple as you want.... they'll be YOURS!! I just did a search for Altered Cigar Boxes.... check these out!!

Sounds like fun, Debi. Did you all see the storage unit and the dresser with the boxes left natural? Love those but this looks like a good use of that G45 beach paper I still have. Maybe I should bring it back with me, Debi.

Definitely bring papers that you want to put on your boxes.... and any G45 ones would be great... they have such cool images on them, I always hate covering them up with photos. LOL

of course... now I need to go look at the drawer thing you're talking about, Marianne... :-)

While you all are at the beach, I'll play along with you on the cigar box challenge. Chris has been bringing them to me from the cigar store and can't figure out why I want them. (The clerks think he's cute so they hold onto them for him.) I'm looking forward to showing him why I need them.
