Beach week 2016 (food & beverages)

Post by pamcook »

Confirmed that the coffee maker provided by the rental is a traditional drip coffee maker.

Please post anything that you plan to bring to share. Cause, Lord knows, we run the risk of going hungry every. single. time.

I'd be willing to bring a Keurig if there was enough interest? (bring your own pods of course...)

I'm pretty much just bringing myself and a Scrapbooking project, but I'm willing to buy whatever we need when I get there. My luggage won't hold much.

If any one is interested in a Scrap Rack I can bring it, but if not I'll leave it home.

Yes, Janet! Please bring your Keurig. Those of us who use them can bring our own K-cups.
Anyone planning to bring ground coffee should plan to bring coffee filters. Probably an obvious thing but anything other crafting supplies is usually an after-thought when I'm packing.

In a pinch a paper towel works well for a coffee filter.

Don't judge me. When you need a cup, you need a cup.

I thought only nurses used paper towels for filters?

I will bring filters & coffee. We don't use the K cups here at home so I'm not going to buy them. Water, plenty of water. You know on a side note I started a list of what I was going to bring and can't find it now,
Time to start it over. When I get over near there I will most likely get fresh fruit & veggies to much on and bring. Not sure what else yet.

This is what I plan to fix for those that would like to participate. Meals will be $10 each or all 5 for $45 pre-paid by April 30. Sorry no refunds since I will need to purchase the ingredients ahead of time. If you change you mind, your portion will be prepared and available for you to eat later, i.e.: lunch. You can select as many days as you like -- Three evening meals and two brunches
Sunday dinner Tacos one of each or you can mix and match: fish taco, chicken taco, veggie taco with all the toppings plus black beans, Mexi rice and dessert, Water, tea and coffee
Monday brunch: individual veggie or sausage frittata, zuchinni fritters, berries with yogurt, mini muffins, orange juice and/or coffee
Tuesday dinner: Grilled chicken Caesar Salad with various add-ins, dessert, Water, tea and coffee. We will also have light appetizers
Wednesday brunch: breakfast burrito, sweet potato hash, mixed fruit, orange juice and/or coffee
Thursday dinner: Shrimp and grits, broccoli, red quinoa and veggie salad, dessert, Water, tea and coffee
If you want the taco, I will need to know what kind you want (one of each, all three the same or two of one and one of another)
For the frittata I will need to know if you want the veggie or sausage
Thanks
Eva
