How far is it to the closest grocery store? I was wondering if I should plan on stopping on the way or if there was something nearby?

It was up near the scrapbook store... A good 25 minutes north. I would stop on your way in. Just my opinion...

Food Lion and Harris Tester stores in Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head about 30 miles before you get here. Another Food Lion 15 miles south in Avon

There is a general/convenience store near where we stayed last year, very basic staples, eggs, milk, etc. It might have been the Blue Whale, I see on the map.
Get what you need before you get all the way down there.

Also, if anyone thinks we need it, I can bring my small Keurig...and will plan to bring several large boxes of mixed flavored k-cups.
