Arrival for Beach Week?

Post by troublesmom »

When are you all planning on arriving? When can we get in Pam and when do we have to be out?

I am thinking I will be there on the 7th but not sure what time.

I'm not 100% sure. Will investigate and post in this thread.

It'll depend a lot on whether there's a rental the previous week. If so... then check-in probably won't be til afternoon sometime. If it's been empty the previous week, they'll probably let you check in ahead of time.

I'll be keeping an eye on that so we can move tables in early if possible.

Guaranteed check-in time of 5 p.m.
We must be out by 10 a.m. the following Saturday.

As of this minute, the house is not rented the week before our arrival. Generally, this means we can check in early. We obviously won't know until much closer to May 7.

If folks are interested, we could plan to meet up in Nags Head or anywhere else and then caravan down together. I hope to get a rather early start that morning. If I'm going to have car problems, I want to do it during the day and not worry about sunset!

Debi - I'd like to give the rental company your cell phone if you don't mind (I know your cell service works on the Island). They will call you if we can check in early. Also, how does it look for parking spaces? Car pooling probably isn't a great option for us.

It's the wildlife refuge area that starts once you cross the Herbert C. Bonner bridge over Oregon Inlet. Stay alert coming past that bridge and the little metal bridge... lots of construction going on finally!!

You mean that "temporary" bridge is finally being fixed? Just in time for the next hurricane season :-o

I think she means the long, curved bridge across the inlet. I don't think any politician wants to deal with the temporary bridge issue.
