Thank goodness for my KNK! 77 cuts later and a whole lot of gluing I've got my table decoration completed for Charley's graduation party a week from Saturday.

WOWZER!!!
This project wears me out just looking at it. You've done a fantastic job on it. 77 cuts blows my mind. I'm sure that would burn out my lowly Silhouette.

Do you fill them with anything to make them stable on the table? You know, to weigh them down a bit?

Your son will appreciate this, I am sure. Will it be a surprise for him?

Thanks Monica and Jen.

I'm still debating how to keep them from falling over. I will need to weight the bottom somehow without blocking the interior. One friend suggested candy bars but you know those wouldn't last. LOL. Charley doesn't know of this project yet. I'll wait until next week to put them up. Wednesday night is Honors graduation and Saturday is the bigger Criminal Justice/CSUS ceremony at Sleep Train Arena....8:30 am! But at least that lets us enjoy the remaining part of the day and celebrate.

 Thanks Pam.

I need to revise the # of cuts. I programmed the KNK to do a double cut on each piece so it's actually 154 cuts! But all that cutting was easy...it was the organizing of the files that took me some time to do. I am happy with the results. I did make two gluing booboos today that will require me to cut two pieces again. But not a big deal. These letters BTW came from Lori Whitlock's site. My favorite place to shop for SVG files.

WOW!
Really nice.
I would have done a banner and called it done
and even that's a maybe I would have. LOL

I notice you mentioned a ceremony at 8:30 in
the morning, what is it with these schools,
my grandson's graduation is at 8:30 AM, also
I asked him if they would be serving coffee, at least.
The hotels have tripled their rates because everyone
needs to go the night before to be there that early unless
they want to leave about 4:30 - 5:00 AM to get there
in time.

Actually 8:30, early as that is, will work out well for us. We'll be first in the parking lot at (sigh) 7:30. They graduate the students by departments. Charley's degree is in Criminal Justice which is grouped into the Health and Services dept - 1800 students! The next dept ceremony is at 12:30 which means we have to be out by 11:30. This will give me time to get back home and set up the food, drink, etc for 1:00 party...who knows when it will end. Charley has invited about 30+ friends of his own plus some of our friends will be there also. It's pretty sweet that he's invited a few of his elementary and HS teachers to come also.

I'm starting to stress a bit.

Fabulous table decor, Farley! Can you use some kind of adhesive on the bottom to keep them upright?
