I'm so glad you added the net - it's the perfect embellishment. All of these photos from the beach are making my feet itch to walk in sand.
The house looks great. Whoever had it moved and stabilized did a wonderful job.

That background paper is perfect for the house picture. Nice embellishment clusters, too.

I'm terrible about buying postcards (you know, in case I delete all my photos somehow) and never using them. I'm determined to use them this year!

Great pages, Pam! You're off to a great start! I too have been guilty of that with postcards. The last couple vacations we've taken, I've done a Smash book for the trip, putting in memorabilia and postcards as we go along with journaling and such. They aren't fancy, but the memories are there and the notes help when I scrap the photos for my album. And bonus... I'm using washi tape!!

Our neighbors who live behind us did travelling all over the world when they were younger. Recently his wife passed away and instead of thank you notes he sent out postcards they had collected as thank you notes. Ours was from New Orleans. I thought that was a great idea. Whoever goes first in this household will have plenty to choose from!
Re: Pam Cook's June 2016 layouts
I gave up on the idea of travel journals and smash books. I love them. I love looking at other people's creations - but I get caught up in perfectionism and then they're no fun for me.
Bonus points, Monica - any time you use washi tape, know you get bonus points from me!
Debbie - I LOVE, LOVE that idea. How wonderful. He was able to relive memories while writing those thank yous. Brilliant.

Love your pages Pam! I also buy post cards but do try to use them in pockets. I'm sure there are still plenty around not used.

Day 3. I want to go do another page but I'm not sure I can walk that far.

Love those pages. I really like the paper that looks like wood.
