Well... If you are a recent college grad and land a job at Google, Facebook etc. your starting pay is $120,000So I've heard! Other recent grads I know are living with their parents since they can't afford rent. $2500 for a 2 bedroom apartment? A friends son pays $1100 for a studio.
The houses selling on my street are up to $900,00 + (a 2 story just sold for 1.8) - I told Mark that our new neighbors aren't even our peers!
FYI - most people's lawns look pretty bad here due to the drought and water restrictions!
On top of that most young people aren't going to be able to afford such prices because they're still paying off their student loans for the next 15 years.
