I'm glad someone admitted it. I always liked them especially when I started cutting off those holes at the top.Keitha wrote:Great cards, Marianne. Raising my hand here - I think I've still got a stash of those metal letters.

Re: August 2016 Card Sketch Challenge - Graphic Words
I still have a stash of those darned metal letters, too.
Re: August 2016 Card Sketch Challenge - Graphic Words
Well, of course, I do. But I love this idea of just gluing them down and covering with paint or gesso. Gonna do it. Thanks.
Re: August 2016 Card Sketch Challenge - Graphic Words
Yep, in 2 colors, teal and pink! great idea to use the leftovers like that. I recognized those retro letters right off, really liked the color combo in that kit. Wonder if I have any of that left?
Re: August 2016 Card Sketch Challenge - Graphic Words
I have another set that I want to glue down or sink into modeling paste and use as a background for something, don't know what. Which reminds me that somewhere I have two canvases with this idea already on them. Could never figure out what else to do with them. Maybe I'll get some ideas.ScrappinJen wrote:Well, of course, I do. But I love this idea of just gluing them down and covering with paint or gesso. Gonna do it. Thanks.

The kit was so familiar, but totally elusive so early in the morning.

I believe I sold my metal letters at the last stamping flea market
Re: August 2016 Card Sketch Challenge - Graphic Words
You lucky duck for having such a great resource/outlet as the flea market. Our LSSes are long gone here in the East. I should do a search to see where the closest one is, Utah, maybe??nancine wrote:I believe I sold my metal letters at the last stamping flea market
Apparently there are two LSSs, one is 66 miles from me, the other is 92 miles. Not going anytime soon.
Re: August 2016 Card Sketch Challenge - Graphic Words
No, there's the one in Nag's Head, one in the Greensboro, NC area, and one in Ohio. All closer than UT.
Here's mine. I'm doing another for a page title. Get those bonus points ready...

Re: August 2016 Card Sketch Challenge - Graphic Words
I went over to my friend Becky's a couple of days ago to learn how she does her beautiful hummingbird feeders out of bottles she finds. I've had this bottle for over 25 years and new I wanted to do a feeder out of it the minute I saw hers. I did it with glass paint that you bake on in the oven. Cool! Dug out the old Artifacts digi kit and I'm saying the title is the graphic words part.

Brilliant, Rachelle, in every way. And so much fun that you finally found inspiration to use the bottle.
