That looks really cool, Pam. They seem to be used for a lot of crafts but I don't understand what is the normal purpose of dryer sheets.

They have just a bit of fabric softener and and anti-static on them. So they're used in the dryer rather than fabric softener in the wash.

I'm definitely going to give that a try. These super detailed dies are tiresome. LOL

Just think of all the time saving next May!

Thanks, Debi. We don't need any of that stuff in our humid environment and soft water and I don't use the dryer much anyway.

Life altering, I tell ya!

I use dryer sheets in the winter primarily to remove static from my clothing. Wool coats, lining, hose, wool blend clothing - I get a heck of a shock from them so I keep some handy to prevent it. Makes my office smell good, too.

She sounds like us the year Judy showed us how well the non-stick aluminum foil works.

Ok... I just tried it and I'm going to be stocking up on some cheap dryer sheets soon!! It works really well. I tested a few and was super pleased with how it worked on the pine cones and the sunflower from Gina Marie's site.

It does compact those sheets together. You can flip them from one side to the other, but you're not going to peel them apart. I also tried running the dies through with the dryer sheets first. But then it lets go of the paper easily and then I had to keep the paper aligned in order to run it through with the dryer sheets. So I'll try some tomorrow with just clean dies.

I'm definitely sold on this with the detailed dies for sure!!

Dryer sheets are a necessity in an arid climate, to avoid the dreaded static cling. Mine are unscented though. The scented ones bother my sinuses. Never thought about running them through with a die.... handy tip!!

This is what I've used in Julie Ebersole's classes with detailed dies and it works great. But I always forget to use them and then swear over getting those little, skinny pieces out. I really need to add these sheets (unscented, yes) to my shopping list. I never use them in my dryer.

Thanks, Monica, I didn't know you could get unscented ones so I might try it with the dies. But I don't want to breath those chemical scents in laundry products.
