Thanks Marianne.... it was a terrific way for me to spend my lunch break... reading through his travels so far. Sounds like an amazing trip.

My nephew is in India building a well. I'll have to catch up with Ray's travels since Jason doesn't post often.

Is this the trip he was planning last year,
before his surgery?

Yes and no, Elizabeth. He was going to northern India on his own for 5 weeks last year and doing a lot more. This is a 3 week tour with a small group of 12 people who range in age from 20 to 70. It's an Aussie company called Intrepid, a bit offbeat and fairly basic with a good mix of ordinary everyday stuff and the famous sites. And, of course, train rides!

I love reading his blog. He's so good at it. Those camels look like a great time. I can imagine he was sore, the last time I rode a horse I could barely walk the next day.

He really IS good at blogging. I love his matter-of-fact, conversational style. It's just like it is talking to him IRL!

That camel trip was interesting. So funny seeing the wild dunes and then in the background windmills!

Thanks, I will pass that along. That happened to me, too, with horse riding-and I was young then!

I spent a very pleasant and slow afternoon at work catching up on Ray's travels. I love his traveling tips. Looking forward to the next leg of his journey.
