Well, I am thinking we better check in or you all will think we fell in the ocean or something. On Saturday Mike and Debi brought the tables and chairs and probably 2 tons of scrapbook supplies to our 3rd floor little slice of heaven. Yes, we can stare at the ocean while we scrap. Eva, Jill, Marianne, Dee, Judy and Cheryl arrived on Sunday. Debi's mother in law, Peggy, was also here. We all brought up our stuff and got to work. I do think we have all improved on deciding what we should bring and what we should leave at home, though I am sure having to tote it up three floors may have something to do with it. It was extremely weird for Pam not to be here! Saturday night we split up and went out to dinner at a couple of local restaurants.
Sunday morning everyone got right back to work. Some people are scraping, some making cards, some coloring...we are all over the place. Beki got here Sunday evening as Cheryl, Dee, and I were grilling the chicken. All I will say is if you like your chicken on the black side we are your girls! Yes, wine was involved. We are improving because we didn't drop any on the ground this year... just flipped some onto the coals. Eva made chicken Caesar salads and we had angelfood cake and strawberries for dessert.
Monday was Jill's birthday. We went to the firehouse and Mike pulled out a ladder truck. He refused to drive around the island with us hanging off the back, but we did get some pictures. Monday night we went to the Waterman and I am pleased to inform you that their dark n stormy drinks are just as good this year as they were last year. When we came home we had a cake for Jill and Beki had made the cutest banner to go on it.
Tuesday morning Eva made another wonderful meal. Eggs, sausage, yogurt, fruit (blackberries that were as big as my thumb!), English muffins, a squash salad... it was delicious. At 10:30 Laura arrived and we had our sea glass pendent class. It was so much fun and all our pieces look really amazing. She is the same person who taught our mermaid ring class last year. She stayed until about 2:30. After that we just got back to work. Work, work, work Seriously, I am getting so much done.
So, that is the condensed version. There are pictures available, but, someone more technically inclined than me will have to post them. Suffice it to say we have talked about you all and we wish you all were here with us.
