I really am addicted to these inks and know when the next batch of colors comes out I'll be in line to get them. Oh dear.

These were also done at my Wednesday craft group...I was unusually productive! The stamp I used is from SSS's June card kit. I bought only the stamp set plus the lovely paper pad. You'll be seeing that paper used later I'm sure. On plain black card stock I stamped in Versamark then embossed in gold. That really makes it easy to paint with the Oxides. The colors don't come out very true on black but I still like the effect. It has a stained glass appearance. The heart was stamped and painted the same way on an off-white stock.

At first I wasn't thrilled with the look of how I did the sentiment, which came in the stamp set. But thinking these cards could go to a couple, I liked its feminine/masculine look. That's my rationale and I'm sticking to it.

Holy crap, Pam. I've just started watching this video (and heard you in my head say 'right-click the link, Keitha, thanks) - it's over an hour long! More than 2 coffees, for sure. I'm 6 or so minutes in, but was intrigued to hear Tim say that although he insisted on the 2 browns in the first release - which surprises no one - the other 10 colours were completely random choices.

And now I'm 18 minutes in. I'd say this video is definitely worth watching for anyone who owns Distress Oxide inks, for the very practical information Tim is sharing. Like, never use the same blending foams that you use with Oxide inks, with your regular Distress inks - or you will contaminate the regular inkpads with pigment ink. I'm sure there will be more gems the further in I watch.

So much more info than just on Distress Oxides. At 54 minutes in I finally understand the difference between Distress crayons and Gelatos.

I'm glad you found it useful. Tim is a great teacher and no one understands his products as well as he does - at least what we want to know about them!
I'll probably watch again, I was fascinated.
