Thanks ladies. This is a biggie - Canada's sesquicentennial. Locally we got the party started on Wednesday with an airshow: 3 biplanes and 1 Red Baron triplane from the Great War Flying Museum - how cool that these planes are still flying 100 years later. Then an impressive Cdn Forces display of an F-18 sporting Canada 150 colours, and also our beloved Snowbirds. I'm having a fairly quiet weekend at home while most of the family is away at a baseball tournament - and hoping I can be productive here in The Glitter Grotto - then tonight will head down to the waterfront with a few friends to watch the fireworks. While not a Canada Day event specifically, we're having a party here Monday to celebrate Cameron's Grade 8 graduation; he was Class Valedictorian.

Happy Canada Day!

As a bit of trivia - a Canadian sharpshooter/soldier recently set the world's record for the longest takedown - 2.1 miles.

Yeah, I don't get the duck, either. What the heck does that have to do with Canada?

Oh how fun; had I known I'd have watched it. And possibly been embarrassed by how many I couldn't answer...

Happy Canada Day Keitha! Makes me recall our USA Bicentennial years ago. It really was special. Have a wonderful weekend, get a lot of creative play in and enjoy tonight's fireworks.

Forgetting is not usually the problem. I need need to be bothered. But as I want to scrap a page about it, I really have no choice today ;)

Happy Canada day, Keitha! Some of my favorite TV shows have been filmed in BC, and a lot of the actors I enjoy watching also hail from Canada. It's beautiful country!

The duck makes its rounds to various boating things. It was in Norfolk, VA a few years ago at the tall ships event.
