pat-czap wrote:So tomorrow is the day Greg goes in the hospital. Hope we are ready for this.

An old friend of mine sent me a little travel watercolor set with paper and instruction book...to help with all the waiting.

I think she thinks, I have hidden talent. I am a bit afraid of this set.
All the best thoughts for Greg tomorrow and all the days to come.

And, as for you and your watercolor set, if it seems a bit too much like work right now, the other thing that is relaxing is a coloring book and use your watercolors or colored pencils or both in it. You don't have to always color inside the lines!

What a thoughtful gift! You could discover a hidden talent - or just enjoy swirling color around on paper. Either way, I hope it makes you smile today.
Praying for a highly successful procedure and protection from all those things you don't want to encounter today.

My new look these days. Worn while in the room, and as I sleep. The sofa morphs into hard cot, but the price is right, and the staff very accommodating. ;)

The first week for Greg is rather easy, but chemo is running at times and so far, so good. Around transplant day, effects should kick in. He is at -4 day, transplant day on Tuesday is day zero. Days after that are day +1 to + 100. 100 days post transplant the magic number.

Take care all.

All the best to you both. The procedures are among those I wish no one had to learn about...but, at the same time, so thankful they're available.

Pam C. This place is hopping! I believe there are 36 beds in the BMT unit. There were 14 admissions this week as of Wednesday. Every room seems to be in use.

The transplant took place about 4 am this morning. Greg called me at home at 3 am, and said it was starting early. It was expected in the early morning hours of 9/20. I go back to the hospital for another 5 day stretch.

Take care all.
