Marianne, I have never before been ready for Christmas this early. I don't know what's gotten into me, but all of my cards have been mailed, my decorations are up (did only the mantle and staircase this year), out of town gifts have been mailed, I only have about three more gifts to buy and everything else is wrapped. Oh, and Christmas Eve dinner has been ordered (Italian beef sandwiches from Portillos in Chicago - yum).

I haven't started baking yet. I won't be going crazy, but I will make a few things.

I’m trying so hard to have everything ready by this coming weekend. Cara and her family arrive the 14th or 15th (need to work out the time difference) and are staying for a month. We’re all meeting in Ohio for a few days over Christmas (Chris & family will meet us there). I want to enjoy every second I can without stressing. No December journal for me and no last minute shopping.

I received two beautiful cards today - Pam P's and Cheryl M's. I think I'll leave the fall cards up a bit longer (because they're so pretty) and display the Christmas cards in the family room on top of my card catalog.
