Sunday road trip?

How many would like to make a trip up to the Wright Brothers Memorail/Jockey’s Ridge on Sunday?
Thought maybe we could have lunch up in that area somewhere as well. We could do some gift shop stops, Tuesday Morning, grocery store...

here's my locals' advice.... stay on the sidewalks and paths when you're climbing up to the monument. Do not..... I repeat.... do NOT walk off the path on that hill.... the green is not just grass.... that hill is loaded with cactus... sneaky little rascals

Since I will have to be on the road all day Saturday to get there I doubt I will go. I've been there also so I can hang with Debbie.

Also.... Jockey's Ridge is in Nags Head.... the Wright Bros. Memorial is north of there... officially in Kitty Hawk, I guess.... on the border of Kill Devil Hills and Kitty Hawk

I have to admit that in my brain, I think anything after you make that left turn is "Nags Head". I know deep down in my brain that there are many towns (villages? cities?) along that route. Now, when I turn right and head south, I tend to think of them as individuals - probably because there's breathing room between them on Hatteras Island.

They're all towns for Manteo, Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills, Kitty Hawk, etc.

Hatteras Island is all referred to as unincorporated Dare County... so they're all villages under county govt. regulations
