Unity Sympathy Card - with a 2nd version
Unity Sympathy Card - with a 2nd version
I haven’t used any of my mountain o’ Unity stamps in a few years! But a friend’s grandmother passed away yesterday so I knew exactly what stamps I wanted to use. This Unity set , “may hope sustain you” has been used more than any other set I own, sad to say. But it’s my go to condolences sentiment set. The flower is the only image stamp in this set. I used my recently acquired Altenew AI markers to color it.

Thank you everyone!
Pam, I do love them. I find in general the markers make great sense, since BOTH ends are useable. I love my Copics too but I never use the chisel end ever. The Altenew markers have a very nice brush end that has a really “just right” feel to them that gives me a lot of control. The medium-fine bullet tip gets into those narrow areas and you can also write with them. The colors are a bit odd to me. I know they match the ink pads which I have no experience with. I have the A and B sets plus one oddball set of 4. So far I’m covered with what is typically needed for coloring. One of the reasons I went for them was to be able to just grab the boxes they came in and take them to my Wednesday craft group if I’m coloring something. Deciding on Copics to take is a chore...I have a lot of them and they are all out and organized above my craft desk. I have no doubt that I will be adding more colors to my “travel” collection...which I’ve been using exclusively at home too.

Thanks for the review Farley. I have some if their stamps but can’t imagine how I would use the two together.

Thanks Pam, Jill and Nancie.
Pam I do enjoy the Unity stamps and I’m rediscovering my stash. Unfortunately I’ll be posting another version of this card later today or tomorrow. A friend’s BIL passed away unexpectedly. I guess I should always make two or more of every card.

Re: Unity Sympathy Card
Yes, sadly I had to make another one so I stuck with this easy format. I just changed the colors to blues for the flowers and a green card base. My friend’s husband lost his brother so I thought the green gave it a more masculine look though it’s for the whole family.

Sympathy cards are so hard to make as each circumstance is different, but this stamp and sentiment are just perfect. Your cards are beautiful, Farley and will surely bring comfort to their recipients.
