Office Halloween Decorations

Post by nchoney »

I went with a Dia de Los Muertos theme this year because I bought the super cool figures last year for 90% off after Halloween.... and then I found the dies to cut the awesome little characters. Now we're just working on getting it to turn around on a turntable so we can take a video for our contest.

And... the door is decorated... Silhouette to the rescue on that part... cut a couple sugar skulls from images on Google... and the wording, too.

We won the year before last with the Jack Skellington pumpkin.... definitely want to make this pumpkin turn slowly since it's decorated all the way around. :-)

I’m speechless! I thought you couldn’t top Jack and then you did this! I can’t imagine not winning.

Cool decorations! I’m going to a Dia de las Muertas festival in downtown Mesa tomorrow. Music, art installations. Food vendors....what more could you ask for!

Love it Debi, very creative! I so miss the days of our jack-o-lantern contests on "DOC". I recall we did one once that revolved on an old record player.

We were hoping to figure out some kind of automatic turntable, but the pumpkins were big and super-heavy this year.... all the rain, maybe?.... but we finally used the microwave turntable and Jordie turned it manually while I did a video with music in the background... LOL

We'll see how the voting works out... they decided to have employees vote - so the department with the most employees may win since they voted for themselves... sigh.... but maybe the VPs will step in and make the final choice.. :-)

We didn't win but I did like the one that did win. So I'm ok with it. It's ON for next year though. LOL
