Dec ‘18/Jan ‘19 challenge

Post by pamcook »

This is a challenge for all the scrapbookers and all the card makers.

Use 2 items you received in the Christmas Swap.
OR
Use 2 items from your latest craft supply shopping spree.
OR
Use 2 die cuts from the recent die cut swap (yes, there was a previous challenge for this - I think! But I don’t think many participated?).
OR
Use 2 never before used stamps

If you participated in die cut swap and ACT swap, you got one of your own die cuts on your ACT from me, in case you did not notice. ;)

Thanks Pam, for posting the challenge.

I think I'll be adding quite a few things to this challenge. We'll start with this card that I made yesterday. As soon as I saw this background technique by Anna-Karin on her Layers of Ink blog (Dec. 7, 2018), I knew I had to try it. I wasn't sure what kind of card it was going to evolve into, but after going through the die cuts from the swap, I found these sunbursts/starbursts from Elizabeth and thought they were perfect. I'll be doing this background again as it was fun (although kind of messy), easy, and I love the results.

That's nice, Sue, the starbursts are perfect focal points. It looks complicated but I'll look up the blog. I'm not familiar with it.

It’s so pretty! I read the the color Coral was chosen as the color of the year for 2019.

My first is a bit of a stretch. Day 15 in my JYC album.

Love the cheery card Sue and Pam that’s a great page for your journal. Was that this years SS or last years?

This year’s SS from Monica. I don’t know if I still have a picture from last year. I could maybe do a screen shot from PAO...hm...

The background of this card is a PaperArtsy JOFY stamp I got last week.

I've made some simple cards using some of the die cuts. I'll post them tomorrow when we get the computer hooked back up.
