Beautiful photos Debi. Is that a travelling exhibit?

I'm not sure... it's been to Norfolk, VA twice.. at the Botanical Gardens... this time in 2016 and then again this past year. We didn't make it to see it this past year, though... good thing, I guess.. since I still have a stack of photos from the first time.. LOL

I just did some searching online and can't find any info about it being anywhere else. That's odd, though... I can't see them bringing all this stuff over here for one exhibit. Now I'm intrigued and will do some more searching. :-)

Added:

I did some more searching just for Asian Lantern exhibit

Apparently it's not the only one of its kind... here was one in Charlotte, NC

and went to Los Angeles

and Cleveland

Looks like our one from Virginia went out to Washington in 2016

And there was something similar in Peoria, AZ back in 2015

Thanks Debi. I saw on Groupon they had a lantern festival around Christmas but nothing like this. I’ll keep my eyes open for anything like this. Would love to see it. I’m a member of the Phoenix Botanical Gardens and last year they had an art installation from Jun Kaneko that was cool. I visited it numerous times.

I did pretty good last year not buying while I was working as I wasn't crafting, other than some very intentional purchases for my Alaska album which I hope to get started on soon. Then the end of the year rolled around, and I rewarded myself for my good behaviour with a couple of orders - don't ask me now of what, LOL. I'm squarely blaming Pam C for the fact that I ordered the Hip Kit Club December kit; Pam's pages always look so fabulous, and that kit in particular had a lot of exclusives in it. I am standing firm on my mandate not to subscribe to any monthly offerings.
Debi, that Asian Lantern exhibit will be a lot of fun to scrap. I had to laugh when I saw the goose in the forefront of your first photo; I can just imagine what he was thinking, looking at those swans. A decade ago I visited the Chinese Lantern Festival in Toronto and scrapped 15 pages of colourful lanterns.
Interesting video by the Frugal Crafter. She didn't say anything we haven't heard before, but it's certainly worthwhile to be reminded.

Their December Kit is pretty fab, isn’t it?

I received two packages today. Didn’t even remember placing the one order until I opened it.

I'm sure I'll agree once I receive it; probably another week before it gets here. I'm still getting dribs and drabs of pre-Christmas mail - although to be fair I didn't order this kit until after Christmas.
What did you order you'd forgotten about?

Some pieces from Shimelle’s new collection - the flocked patterned paper, the sticker book and some Altenew enamel dots (big sheets - 1 greens and one yellows). I’m glad you asked because the order made no sense to me - too few items vs shipping costs. Yeah, the lettering practice book I ordered was out of stock. I’m going to write to complain. If I reorder, I have to pay the shipping again. Rip off.

I sent an email of complaint and then went to Etsy. Found some digital practice sheets for $2.99 (obviously no shipping) and I can pick up tracing paper at Michael’s with a 40% off coupon.
