Playing with a new die

Post by pugmom »

I tried to be on a self imposed spending freeze this month, but that didn't last long  One of the things I ordered was the Technique Tuesday Pull Strip Die. I thought it would be fun for making gift card holder cards. I started playing with it this morning and made a birthday card for a girlfriend. No gift card in this one, just birthday greetings, but I think it's a fun card.

The second picture is the inside before I put it in and sealed it up (had to remember to sign it first). Just pull the zipper and it's a gate fold card.

This is my test card so that I could figure out the measurements and see if it actually worked. There's nothing inside, but you can see how it opens.

Very nice! Spending freezes are overrated.

I thought of that, Nancie  I will give my friend the card when I take her out to lunch, so I'll see if she figures it out on her own. Future cards may have an arrow or something on the tab.

Sue your cards are fantastic! What a fun idea. Love your papers and your “trial” card opens beautifully with the gate fold and patterned paper.

Love that die and the concept. Instructions would be a good idea too.
