I hate winter.... pictures added

Yes, I know, I live in Colorado and we get snow, but usually it snows a few inches, it melts, we have some beautiful days
and we wait for the next round. HOWEVER, tomorrow's snow event (according to The Weather Prediction Center) could be the state's strongest storm in decades.

We are supposed to have blizzard conditions with 50 to 80 mile per hour winds. I think the eastern plains will get the worst of it,
which is not good because it is calving season, but I'm just a wee bit south of the Palmer Divide and that is one of the target areas.

Guess I'd better batten down the hatches. Have I mentioned that I hate winter?

I looked outside this morning and almost cried when I saw it was snowing again. I feel your pain.

We’re actually having a few dry days. I remember the never-ending winters in Ohio. I feel your pain. Do you have to get out in it? Can you stay home and enjoy a hot cocoa with some Baileys or maybe some coconut rum mixed in? Washington has had more than its share of snow as well.

I’d rather have N.C. winters than N.C. summers. I know. None of that helps you feel any better.

Today I sat outside with my big warm coat and sunglasses just to feel the sun on my face. Sorry, but i hope we don't get any of that snow.
Looks like rain, thunderstorm, wind and a bit warmer weather are on the way for a few days.

oh, Pam, I won't be going anywhere. The news stations are telling everyone to stay home and some school districts have already said they would be closed tomorrow. Today was in the 50's.

My friend in Arlington said it's snowing again there, and Jim said the weather in Port Angeles was going downhill again. Evidently they caught this blast before it hits you.

Thank goodness you can stay in. Hope the worst that happens is that you get a little and the weather guys are wrong. Again.

Pam - I'm not looking forward to summer unless this water dries up. We already have mosquitoes hatching from all of the "lakes" in the neighborhood.

Well, the skiff of snow we got vanished by midday, and we're supposedly in the 40s tomorrow. I'll believe it when I see/feel it! I need sunshine!!

It’s been raining and cold here too, only 59 today. Yesterday we were in the pool it was nice. Next week it forecast to be in the 80’s tho. This winter has been a cold one!

we got down to 4º on the 10th and 7º on the 11th. I'll take your 59º!

This is what it currently looks like from just about any window in my house. They're all covered with ice and snow and from the ones that I can see out of, you can barely see across the street because of the blowing snow.

Lost power about an hour ago. I don't know how the pioneers survived weather like this.

Power came back on (for now). The governor is sending the national guard out to rescue stranded motorist, and there are a lot of them. It's pretty vicious out there. What part of don't venture out do people not understand? Sorry, I'm a bit cranky

I understand completely, Sue. The snow is beautiful, but not when it puts peoples' lives in jeopardy.
