Not the foiling with a tool, no. It's gilding flakes on super sticky double-sided adhesive. I used a leaf stencil on the tape and did one color, then lifted it and did the other one. Took me a couple nights purely because it gets gilding flake bites EVERYWHERE no matter how careful you are! It needs a back porch or a table outside to keep from getting it all through the house. Love the look though, an as I have several colors of these I was inspired to use them.
