Watercoloring

Post by pamcook »

I’m determined to spend some time with watercolors. I get easily frustrated with my lack of skill but don’t really invest any time in practice.
I did these today and noticed that I overthink the process. It was fun though and that’s a big step.

Thank you thank you!

Yes, overthinking. My brain wants the images to be “perfect” instead of watercolors should be. These were so easy but highly rewarding for me. Will keep at it. The supplies are on my work desk to remind me to keep at it.

Very nice, Pam. I am drawn to watercolors, too, but get discouraged when they are not perfect. Time goes so fast when I paint. I need to quit watching all the how to's on youtube and do more actual painting.

I love the way these look so transparent as if you barely touched the paper with the paint. I am much to heavy handed with the paint and spend more time trying to take the paint off than putting it on.
