I'm glad to hear that they were able to pinpoint the issue and get him on the right track. Continued prayers as he continues on his healing journey.

Congrats on your Visa!!!

Will you move before May or any idea?
Wow, Pam, so glad they found out what was causing it.

Don't know when we will move. At least we don't have to wait until our house sells as we already have the other place to go to. We just need to get busy getting rid of more stuff and then packing the rest up to go to OZ. We didn't do much over the Summer between the heat and Ray's health.

Marianne,
You know how thrilled I am for Ray's diagnosis and hope he gets his strength back quickly! :happy94: And, I am so happy about your Visa coming through. I'll miss the fact that you're not going to be "right up the coast", but there's always email. Cheers! :drunk:

Ditto here. Glad he is better and congrats on the Visa approval.

Joe has been on Blood pressure and Cholesterol medicine for years and I keep trying to talk to him about getting off of them. Some men won't listen.

Thanks, Cheryl and Cheryl!

Cheryl H-He is walking .8 mile this weekend with only one rest stop on the highest hill.

Cheryl M- Ray was the same way, never questioned his drs. never did any research on his own, never tried alternative medicine. All that has changed now!

I just read Ray's blog. He's certainly been through quite an ordeal. I'm so glad they were able to figure out the problem and that he is improving.
Congratulations on the visa! I didn't realize you had to jump through so many hoops to get a permanent visa in another country.

First -Congratulations on the Aussie VISA

Second- Happy that a source of the problem was found for Ray
and he's on the road to doing better

Third - It really pi**es me off that drugs that can cause
all of this havoc in a patient's life are allowed on the market.
I'm sure in all of the testing that was done pre market release
these side affects came into the picture and they are still being
prescribed. My son in law mentioned to his doctor that he thought he was
getting side affects from the lipitor and then 4 years down the line
the insurance company would not write a long term care policy
stating pre-existing conditions because the doctor made a note of his
verbal complaint but didn't think enough about it to take him off the drug
There should be more publicity about the harm the drugs can cause a patient
and maybe then doctors would think twice before writing an Rx for them

Elizabeth, that is terrible about your son and lipitor. Too bad he didn't just stop it himself. We are finding that Ray has to tell his dr. what he wants. He's a good guy and will research and is always willing to try something else. But Ray is just learning this after this episode.

Good for you, Jill, and the DR for listening. I hope it is an easy fix for your legs.
