Neglected 6x6 paper pad challenge (Jan. 2020)

Post by pamcook »

Here’s a link to a good article about using the paper pads to create a scrapbook page.

Here’s a photo of some card fronts I made using almost an entire pad.

I'll admit I'm groaning at this challenge. I think I have more 6x6 paper pads than I have used sheets of 6x6 paper. It's a neglected supply for sure here in the Glitter Grotto. Your cards are lovely Pam; great way to use some of it up.

I like that first example... using two sheets down a side as a border... and just using some layering to hide the seam. Right up your alley, Pam!! Definitely a good way of thinking about those great little patterns as a 6x12 piece of paper.

I don't have much 6x6 paper, but I had a "neglected" pad of business size paper from a few years back. It is really pretty, with subtle glitter. I also had a pack of long business size coloured envelopes, so I made some cards to fit them, and also some square ones. I dusted off my old lacy edge punch too!

I should post this here as well.

And if you all think that I believe you don’t have 6x6 paper pads just sitting around...

I have a few (dozen  ) 6x6 pads. Here's a page using the Crate Paper Bloom pad and some chipboard pieces from another Crate Paper collection that I can't find the name of.
This is me, my mom and my Nana in 1972.

Sue - I love it! That black background is the perfect touch.

How does 1972 seem so long ago and like yesterday at the same time?

Really nice layout Sue, good use of those 6x6 papers. What I also love about photos like these is the period details, like the aluminum and nylon webbed chairs. Like Pam said, when did they become vintage?
