Re: JANUARY 2020 Card Technique Challenge
No I haven’t forgotten to finish this challenge technique. I just got hung up with multiple bird surveys and Christmas Bird Counts back-to-back. I finished coloring it today and made it into a card. I’m in a birthday mode and I was happy to use this layered CP Happy Birthday sentiment that I really like and had forgotten about.
This coloring of the flower with the white pencil technique was a tad tedious, LOL. I want to do another one but I’ll select an image that won’t be perhaps so intensive. But I am happy with the results.

Coloring in that flower would be a great "pass the time on an airplane" project. The card is gorgeous - just gorgeous!
This technique works really well with the neocolor crayons as well. I was only able to scrounge up a hand full of colored pencils - was surprised to find them. Thought I had sent them all to Mia.

Beautiful as usual, Farley. I did a card front I was really pleased with but then messed up the stamped greeting. I'll try again, the month is but young.

Pam, your circle trees are the perfect stamp for this technique. And about the amount of colouring I could do before losing patience with the entire project, LOL. Are the pinks with the neo.colors? Farley, your final card is gorgeous. The coloured cardstock edge gives it a really different look.

Pam! My apologies. I was sure I commented on your adorable trees...love them. Very cute stamp and your variety of coloring is terrific. They will make great cards.

Re: JANUARY 2020 Card Technique Challenge
In the spirit of Trying New Things - one of my crafty intentions for 2020 - I gave this challenge a go. If I were going to do much more coloured pencil work I'd definitely need a magnifier, although as long as I have a room full of other mediums this won't become my go-to. I did turn my images into cards, and will add appropriate sentiments when I use them. I apologize for the crappy lighting; I'm being lazy these days and taking pics on my phone down here in the Glitter Grotto where the light's not the best.
I was amused that, especially as I'm not a fan of this medium, I own 4 different brands of pencil crayons for a total of 60 pencils. I ended up using pencils from all four sets to get the specific colours I wanted - or as close as I could - which probably means I'll either keep or get rid of them all; they're not particularly good quality so don't represent much of an investment. I couldn't tell you which ones I prefer; in the end I used more of the cheaper ones due to colour selection.
