Two Unrelated Cards
Two Unrelated Cards
My most recent cards that I felt like making. All CP stamps. The first one is all from CP CANVO stamps for March. It was raining (much needed) at the time I made this. Second is her most recent release. I just got a few of this huge release that appealed to me. What kind of fruits these are beats me...I just wanted to use these colors I have in Nuvo alcohol markers, LOL.

Thanks Debbie. That second one is a new CP background stamp called Fresh Squeezed. I embossed it in WOW gold then colored it.

Based on the small flowers and the segmented fruit - best guess is an orange?
I love your colors.

Re: Two Unrelated Cards
Both cards are great; the fruit card reminds me of cloisonné.

Thank you everyone!
Pam, Catherine Pooler is treating these as lemons or limes. But it’s those “seeds” that throw me on the lemon shaped fruit. But it’s my stamp now and I’ll color as I please,

Beautiful cards, Farley! I love that background stamp and your terrific coloring of it.

You know, it's really not fair to post those two cards together. Both demonstrate your superior colouring and card-making skillz, but the second one is just wow. Who cares what kind of fruits they are... maybe Farleyfruits?
Re: Two Unrelated Cards
Right now the message on the first card is the most important, "find joy in the ordinary", we all need that reminder every day now.
But, oh, the coloring on the second one, takes us way beyond the ordinary.
We all need both.
Thanks, Farley

Beautiful cards
Re: Two Unrelated Cards
Lovely! And I agree with Beki that the second card looks very cloisonne-ish.

More thank you to you all!
I think I’m getting hooked on coloring as a pastime. I found it really relaxing while making the “Farleyfruit” card. And I really like the Nuvo alcohol markers. Each set is of three blendable colors so there’s no thinking involved. As much as I love my Copics there are too many choices. But then I am a sucker for all varieties of markers.
Marianne your thoughts on “find joy in the ordinary” is exactly what I was after when I made that.

Beautiful cards, Farley. I wonder if the Farleyfruit are Pomegranates as they look similar to ones in Renaissance paintings. They represent abundance and fertility ( all those seeds!).
