Question for you coffee-loving stampers

Post by Keitha »

I'm 'auditioning' new-to-me coffee companies and roasts, in search of one to replace my beloved blend that I can no longer get. I decided to keep my personal reviews in a minibook, and to that end am in search of appropriate stamps to use. Possibly a few images of coffee-related things, but also some kind of fill-in-the-blank grid with spaces to record things like brand, roast, tasting notes, etc. I don't know if anything specifically coffee-themed exists, but there might be something usable designed for wine tasting, or restaurant reviews. Please let me know of any stamps or printables you kow of that are still available.

Great idea Keitha! Two thoughts: Waffle Flower’s color swatching stamps. There’s a big variety of stamp sets and one might work for you. Another is, rather than stamps, Planning With Kay stickers. She has “functional” sets and one might be of use. I also just took a quick look on Pinterest and there are tons of “tasting” journal ideas as well.

Look forward to seeing what you come up with and what beans you like. I’m always interested in a good espresso bean. My favorite right now is Black Pearl from Chris’ Coffee in NY. They get my :coffee3: :coffee3: :coffee3: :coffee3: :coffee3: on flavor and service.

Excellent idea! I never would have thought of this idea.
I have enough beans for just one more cup of my favorite coffee ever. I bought it at Trader Joe’s a couple of months ago - one of their limited small farm beans - from Papau New Guinea. Kona used to be my favorite until I could no longer justify the cost.
Will have to give your recommendation a try.

Good ideas Farley, thanks. I actually have some Waffle Flower swatch stamps and wouldn't have thought of them, I'll give them a second look. I also wouldn't have thought of stickers, so will see what Planning With Kay has to offer. So far I have found a coffee tasting journal on Etsy I quite like, but thought I'd explore using a book I already own. Of course by the time I buy stamps or stickers or whatnot the book might not be any more expensive.

So far, the roasts I've liked have been medium roasts so I'm concentrating on those for now, although I do like an oily bean. The tasting notes for the coffee I can no longer get are "a nutty sweet flavour with a floral aroma" so that gives me a starting point.

Have you ever heard of Kopi Luwak coffee? Check this out - $95/4 oz. of beans thankyouverymuch: https://beanwise.ca/collections/premium ... ffee-beans

Kay hasn’t done a specific coffee theme yet but in the previous March set there were loads of coffee mugs and press pot stickers. Very cute.
