Keitha I thought using the layered dies would be great. Was it hard to cut down the middle because of those layers? Regardless, these two cards are gorgeous!

Wow! These are all gorgeous! I'm almost embarrassed to post mine as I'll be posting what worked and the fronts I decided to salvage.

This worked, but only because I decided to use just patterned cardstock after the flowers I cut wouldn't work. And don't even ask about the Altenew poppies that the stupid dies slipped while cutting.

Since I already had the panels done, I decided to try using the die cut flowers but they wouldn't layer to my satisfaction. So I went ahead and cut the panel in two, used a fussy cut flower for one side and the die cuts for the other. 2 more cards as a bonus. They don't fit the challenge but I salvaged the panels.

BTW, all sentiments were cut from PL cards except for the Life Is Good die cut.

Pam P I like your cards and can sympathize with things not working as you planned. I'd be so ticked if I went to the trouble of colouring images just to have the dies slip while cutting them out. Do you use a bit of washi to hold them in place as you run them through the machine? That's been my lifesaver on more than one occasion.
Farley, it took many passes through the flowers with an X-acto knife to cut through the flowers, and didn't cut as cleanly as I'd have liked - although that's probably because I need to replace the blade.
I'm thinking that the fussy cutting takes just as long as colouring or layering images - but at least we all got two-for-one in the end.

Pam your cards are great and there’s definitely more than one way to make this card. Great job using up PL cards too! I can’t help but speculate how many times Jennifer McGuire made these cards before they looked presentable and how much video editing she did, LOL.

Keitha I have to agree about the coloring vs fussy cutting. It all takes some time and patience.

I’m loving how you all have taken the challenge and made it your own. Bonus points for all!

I'm going to keep plugging away and find a way to make the original premise work. And thanks for the reminder about the washi tape, Keitha. I'd totally forgotten about that.

Even with a magnetic shim I generally use washi to hold dies down.

Farley you have created a monster! I can’t quit!! I used a large stamp called Exotic Bloom from a company called Stamplistic. I used 6x6 pieces of card stock with designs on it and just embossed with the WOW black. Really a dramatic look.

Debbie this is a terrific idea! Another great way to use up our paper pads and those PL cards. Your cards are wonderful and I like that stamp.
