Beki’s Challenge

Post by BekiWard@msn.com »

Make a box card. Any design, but bonus points for beachy elements

Edited to add this video link; it’s a very basic tutorial on the structural mechanics; from there, any theme & embellishments may be added: https://youtu.be/t7mbhzacx4U

Interesting idea, but I don't have box card dies or any idea how to do this. Do you have instructions?
Ladies, your beachy cards are very fun!

Here’s mine!
Keitha - I think I just did a google search (a few years ago). If I can find it again, I’ll post a link.

And here it is - different but the same. Great way to use up embellishments.

How fun!!

Keitha, there are tutorials out there for the box cards, but I'm blanking on a name for them to search. Farley may know, as she's done a few.

I’m working on one I found on YouTube, a Keitha. I’ll post the link. I’ve got the box done and now I have to embellish it.

Only for you Beki! Took me forever for this but I like how it turned out and it lays flat to mail.

And I should get bonus points for using Club Scrap! I don’t think I will ever get rid of it all!.

I am a Club Scrap member too! I use the ALSB process when I receive the kit and then find photos that work. However I probably have a dozen or more kits that I need to do. And I just ordered the Special Release Butterfly kit!

Kathy we‘ve all been Club Scrap members and I think some still are. This group was created so we could share our art without It having it 50% CS material. I was a member for about 9 years I think. Others here much longer. ALSB was a huge help in learning how to scrap for me.

Keitha don’t you have a Silhouette? Or is it in a box still, LOL. Silhouette and Lori Whitlock (she’s also on Silhouette site) have loads of box card SVGs for you to play with. All of my box cards have been from SVG on my KNK so there’s no excuse for me to not make one.

Am I the only PAO sister who never subscribed to CS? It wasn't a thing in Canada although was available, but between the exchange rate and shipping costs wasn't worth it. Even back in the early 2000's I knew that ordering that kit each month wouldn't keep me out of the LSS and spending money there, too.

I have one but it sits and mocks me; I haven't used it for at least a couple years. I also have a new computer/operating system so would need to see if they're compatible - which if I'm home long enough I might check out.
