Scraplift #14 Reveal
Re: Scraplift #14 Reveal
I have to say that this is the most interesting round so far!
Re: Scraplift #14 Reveal
I followed Debi, using smaller photos on 2 sides
and a focal one to the right.
The photos are from a trip that my son
and DIL took, meeting up with her sister and her husband
to hike in the Arizona National Parks. These photos are
from the Coyote Buttes section called The Wave
and a focal one to the right.

I liked Elizabeth's page and decided to stay with her layout and use pictures of my son's trip to Japan last year.

What wonderfully creative minds! I love watching inspiration at work.

some wonderful pages
Re: Scraplift #14 Reveal
I took it off the rail. My feeble brain didn't think about using paper squares instead of small photos, so I deep sixed the entire idea except for the few on the left side. I did like the idea of the 2 photos, so that was perfect. As soon as Julie gives me the details (date, Priest, church) I'll complete the LO. And I'm strongly considering adding the word "Celebrating" to the title.
Re: Scraplift #14 Reveal
I love those colors. Do you have the word "celebrate" in a Thicker pack? That would work really well. I'm always looking for a way to use word Thickers.pbp908 wrote:I took it off the rail. Re: Scraplift #14 Reveal
This is the first layout I have done for my son's wedding. I have a LOT of photos for the beautiful wedding but they got divorced 18 months later . . . broke my heart along with my son's. I still want to scrap the wedding but it will be HARD.

I'm fairly sure that I do. If not I'll use a different font in another Thicker.pamcook wrote:I love those colors. Do you have the word "celebrate" in a Thicker pack? That would work really well. I meant to say that would work as well. I'm easily distracted these days.pbp908 wrote:I'm fairly sure that I do. If not I'll use a different font in another Thicker.pamcook wrote:I love those colors. And Kathy, I'm sorry that it's been difficult. Weddings should be fun events to scrapbook. Will you scrap/journal as though you were making the pages just after the wedding? I hope the process is healing in some way.

What great pages!
I find it fascinating that the last two pages in the
round are closer to the original page than those in the
middle, without ever seeing the original starting page

Re: Scraplift #14 Reveal
Very interesting round indeed, and what a great collection of layouts and subjects.
Kathy, I didn't know your son got divorced and am so sorry to hear that. It does make it especially difficult to scrap the wedding photos, but perhaps, as with the page you've done, you can concentrate on the beautiful details that you'd like to remember. I've been divorced since 1979 but have over the years scrapped a few of my wedding photos if they support a story I want to tell.

Re: Scraplift #14 Reveal
These are all great! It's been fun watching the evolution.
One thing I noticed and found quite interesting is, everyone used the same middle-lower right hand area for the main focal image.
Great job, everyone!
