Andrew's 2010 Wedding

Post by kacarr61 »

The wedding was amazing - my son cried while doing his vows. He really really loved Cassie and was heartbroken when she met someone else 18 months later and filed for divorced. It tore heart up seeing my son in so much pain. I decided I still need to scrapbook this event - I have some amazing photos of family members. Here are the engagement photos - I scrapped as if I did them 10 years ago.

I was looking through some of my old albums and found 2 weddings that ended in divorce for my nephew and 1 that ended for a good friend. (Two of those we all predicted, unfortunately.) While looking at them were painful they were a reminder that joy can be fleeting but also that much better things can come from heartache. Bobby and Bryan now have their "happy ever afters," both are now in wonderful committed relationships and have built loving solid families. I wish the best for Andrew and that his story also finds that happy ending with a wonderful woman who will appreciate him.

Oh my goodness Kathy! Such lovely photos and LOs for them. As someone else said above, hard and painful as that has been for your son and for you to watch, he’ll find someone of true quality and have a happy life. That had to be hard but brave of you to scrap.

There are times we have to scrap things that can make us cry. We try and remember the good times. Best to your son in his future.

I handmade 150 wedding invitations and swore I'd never do that again. But if course 6 years later I did it for my daughter and they were even more labor intensive :) A labor of love!

Guess I have some unresolved feelings about my ex-daughter in law. I had an extremely hard time scrapping this and still have the bridal show and wedding to do. Oh boy.
