September 2020 BUJO
September 2020 BUJO
I needed to get September done before my usual Planning With Kay September stickers arrived. Watch them arrive tomorrow, LOL. So I used what I had on hand in the way of some leftover sets and odd sheets that I’ve bought just for fun. I based September’s theme and colors on the set of flowers you see in the top right corner and then pulled out anything that might go with them. It was a challenge having to think for myself. I did some ink blending on many of the pages with Mildliner brush markers attempting to come close to the colors of the flowers.

Love these pages Farley, and how you've combined the various supplies to work cohesively. I have to ask: on your 'birds of note' page, is there something different or specific about the designation 'in the pocket'? A certain area, perhaps?

Thanks everyone for your comments.
Keitha I was wondering if anyone would be curious about the Pocket. That is my neighborhood so called because of the giant horseshoe bend in the Sacramento River or “Pocket” shape that our area has been called since the 60s and it’s development of homes and schools. I’ve lived in the Pocket for 51 years! When I moved here I was 16. The majority of the Pocket was still used for agriculture. My bedroom window looked out onto vast fields of safflower. As you can see it is all filled in and population is over 25,000. But I do love living here and it’s quiet cozy feel. Due north is downtown Sacramento.
