September 2020 Card Challenge - Color Swatches
September 2020 Card Challenge - Color Swatches
My own color swatches that is. I’ve been experimenting with colors so I decided it would be fun to see what you all can do with them. So here are four color groups for you to experiment with and make a few cards or even LOs. These are all Catherine Pooler ink colors but I know you all must have some similar colors within your own ink stash.
I took the grey and orange color group and made this Halloween card with three of the four colors. I left out the dark grey. So grab some card stock, stamps and your inks and make some blended backgrounds or stamp or both and have fun!
(I’m posting my challenge a few days early due to a lot of projects happening and didn’t want to be late with this.)

Great color combos. My brain can do three colors but then I have to search for examples if I want to add more. I really appreciate these examples - and that card is so cute!

Glad you all like the colors.
Pam I too work best with just 3 colors so please pick out what appeals to you even if it’s just one color. As you can see I only used three in my card. I have another one in the works I’ll post soon.

Another color swatch card from the “birds” swatch.
The pots are actually intended to be used as presents but flower pots work too. All CP.

Thanks to 105* and more smoke today (after I birded for an hour before too stinkin’ hot) I remained indoors for the day to make one more challenge card using the colors from the coffee cup swatch. The stencil background is a new one from CP and the two slimline die cut panels from PinkFresh. This is for one of my Aquafit friends (also a card maker) I’ll be seeing Monday.

Love all your cards, Farley.
I received my new ink pads and will be putting this on my "to do" list for this week.

Okay one last card for me on this color challenge for now. I used the leaf color group with perhaps a few extras involved.
Leopard print balloons! I used two stencils simultaneously. I placed the leopard stencil down first and then the balloon stencil over it. Blended two ink colors for each balloon. Then went back with just the balloon stencil to fill the balloons in with color and make an actual balloon shape. Pretty easy. Stickles on the confetti swirls.
