It's an old CS stencil - I remembered that I had it from the Bicycle kit (2006 maybe?)

This was an early Halloween visitor. But we’re going to put up a bat house and hopefully entice some to roost in our yard.

Perfect timing, Debi!

And Gwen, I need to dig out all those CS stencils...there were some really good ones.

Love that Debi!!!

Beki - I have to go through them more often. I have those mini binders they had full of them. Some of them I remember off the top of my head (like the bike one) - but there are so many more that I have forgotten.

No way would I be holding that bat. You're a much braver woman than I, Debi.

I would not hold it either and it is rather ugly.

When you're looking at the bat, keep in mind the size of my hand. That little bat was maybe 2.5 inches from head to hiniey. :-) So tiny... and knowing how big I was in contrast... wow... he must have been terrified to be held in place by this huge creature. Once he got both wings free, he wriggled out of my soft hold... and flew off. It was so tiny and soft... I just had an overwhelming feeling of how easily I could accidentally hurt it. Was definitely a WOW moment. And... I'm a former science teacher, so holding the odd creature isn't out of the ordinary for me.

Bats have pretty faces - sort of like a toy dog. I used to be afraid of them but since we had one that liked to hang out on the kitchen screen they don't bother me. Besides, they eat more than their weight in 'skeeters, and that makes them OK in my book!

Same with me.... I'm really hoping we can help promote the bat population on the island. I remember seeing them on my street when we first moved there... but there were some tall pine trees that are long since gone. So... we're going to hang a bat house and give it a couple years to see if we can bring some close to home again. Bye bye mosquitoes!!

I have more than I care to admit...also in binders. I need to take out those I'm not likely to use and set them aside to take to the RAK table at re(create).

Always a rebel in the group! I tried but couldn’t get four photos.
