2021 January Card Challenge - HAPPY MAIL!

Post by paddlegal »

:happywave: Happy New Year 2021!!! :happywave:

Let’s make some Happy Mail and spread some joy out there. 2021 has to be better than that year that shall not be named. Having some extra happy mail to send to a friend, family member or co worker that you haven’t seen in 9 months would be handy. I’m thinking New Year, thinking of you, or just a plain Hello card could make someone’s day. Just make it HAPPY!

Brilliant idea and those cards would make anyone happy! Hoping to spend some of NY Day making cards. Sue inspired me to go ahead and get some special cards made and in my stash. Your cards have given me some great design ideas.

Ah, Farley. It'll all be hindsight soon. (Sorry about the bad pun!)

I hope to get a couple out soon. I'm trying to get my Christmas put away right now. Only 1 more tree, the biggest to get down and put away. Then there is my craft room that I need to find some "room".

Two more cards to add to my cache.

Happy New Year will be used immediately. Sentiment and sunburst were die cut from two different toner sheets that I foiled, then die cut.

Birthday card was made during Catherine Pooler’s 10 Birthday Zoom celebration of Catherine Pooler Designs. The items in this card are from a special bundle to celebrate being in business 10 years called Cake Party.

Those colors!!

Cheryl, I understand. We took down the outside lights and decorations yesterday. Part of the day was beautiful and we had to take advantage of the break in the rain.

I think today might be card-making day here at my house.

I took Khristina Sorge’s challenge to make a background using washi, then cutting it into strips, and rearranging to make a chevron design. This might be as far away from Christmas supplies that I can get.

Did I mention that Joel’s mom fell and broke her hip on Christmas Eve day? She’s so very discouraged and lonely. My heart just breaks for her. She self-isolated in her sister living so that she could spend Christmas with her daughter and because of massive pain medicine, doesn’t even remember Christmas this year. Anyway, I hope these colors brighten her day. (Now she’s in rehab and doesn’t even have a window...)

Pam, I'm so sorry to hear about Joel's Mom. She'll love your card - it's the definition of Happy Mail.

Thanks for the sweet comments.

Here are some card fronts I’m working on. They’ll be glued to the front and a handwritten sentiment added to the inside.
