Feb 2021 Christmas paper crafts

Post by BekiWard@msn.com »

“Slimline” cards using scraps & dies.

The easiest way I’ve found to use a lot of scraps is to make slimline cards. The easiest way I found to make the base card is to merely trim 4” off an 8.5” x 11” piece of cardstock, then fold the remaining 8.5” x 7” to 8.5” x 3.5”. These cards will fit a #10 business envelope.

Show me what you come up with!

The 4” strip removed from the letter sized cardstock easily becomes a layer for a focal image.

Small dies make use lots of tiny scraps.

And when someone sends you an already assembled fun die cut, make a fun card! The only problem with that is, when the image tickles you, you want it!

Thank you, Katy!

My rebellious side likes to find non-traditional colors, too. My creative side likes that challenge. ;)

The real challenge is not making more scraps while trying to use what I have!

My snarky side says "showoff". BUT...I love all of these Beki! You did an amazing job with all of these cards. Quite the inspiration. Thanks.

They're wonderful!
I must have ESPN - I picked up a pack of business size envelopes at Staples yesterday.

Wow wow wow! Those cards are fantastic! My favorite is the blue-ish snowflake one, but those GNOMES! Those are just adorable. :cool5:

Thank you, Farley. I would love to see some foiled cards! Inspire me so I will get my stuff out & use it!

Julie, thank you! I should tell a story about the “Triple Ho” card...I made the largest gnome & couldn’t stop laughing because he reminded me of Tommy Chong. My best friend reminded me what he needed to complete that look so I obliged with a scrap of paper. By the time she responded, I had made a smaller gnome, gave him the “accessory” and took a picture of both, saying Chong had passed it to Cheech Marin!

I have another gnome die en route; I was hoping it would arrive in time to include, but it didn’t so it’ll be an addition. They’re just too stinking’ fun!
