2021 March Card Sketch Challenge - A2 Triangle Puzzle Card

Post by paddlegal »

Happy March everyone! I love this card sketch since it’s the perfect use for 6x6 paper pads whether double sided or single sided. This of course can be used for 12x12 card stock as well. I have many pages to post so hang in there to the end and don’t be put off by so many instructions. Once you’ve done one it’s super easy.

First my samples to lure you in. All of the below samples were made with 6x6 single sided patterned card stock from various companies. My instruction sample is made from a double sided patterned card stock.

(The “today” card I made for my son for his first day of work as an attorney for the Childrens Law Center of California...he’s employed!)

Instructions:

1. Using one double sided card stock or 2 single sided card stock, cut your paper to 5.25 X 4 inches.

2. Cut your 5.25 X 4 piece in half on the diagonal.

3. Piece back together (use washi tape to hold it if needed) rotate 180 degrees and cut in half on the diagonal.

4. You now have 4 triangles as shown. Repeat if using single sided card stock.

5. Using double sided paper, just flip two opposing halves and you’re all set. OR: If using 2 sheets you now have enough for 2 cards.

6. Mount on an A2 card base and add your sentiment or focal point.

Super easy. Especially if you use a sentiment that covers up where the triangles don’t meet up perfectly. LOL

And you get two out of one set of cuts if you use one-sided paper and have to cut two papers.

I jumped on this one so I wouldn’t forget to do it.

Great cards Farley & Debi - and my first thought was what could I use to cover up the center point? I know my limitations! I’ll do my best to get some cards made this week. Thanks for another great challenge Farley and -

CONGRATULATIONS CHARLEY!!!

Debi, outstanding! I am so thrilled you jumped right into this one. Yes, once one is made it’s a no brainer. And as you see, using one sided paper is a two-fer! Your cards are fabulous.

Pam your clusters! And of course a label die with a stamped sentiment is all you need.

I used a digital print from Robyn Marie and a fern print from my stash. This was a fun challenge. Thank you Farley.
