Finally figured out what photos to use and then I was on a roll!!

So... I'll be emailing my layout to Julie in a few minutes... yay!! I had to turn mine into a 2-page spread... but it started as just one page. :)

Mike went up in an airplane for a fly-over of the island with a friend piloting the plane. Needless to say, he had a great time. And I actually scrapped photos of something he did ... that's rare that I get photos of things like that. It was back in 2019 but I came across the photos as I was looking for something to scrap other than Chevie.. LOL

Here's a teaser on the layouts.... this is the right-hand side. The other side is photos of Mike and the pilot. :)

So.. these are shots looking down at the island.

I've got Debi's layout and will make every effort to get it done over the next few days. I've got plans tonight and tomorrow night, but should be well on my way by Wednesday. And given that I always have so many photos I want to scrap, I suspect I'll try to turn my layout into a double as well. I don't know why I didn't think of that last time. :-)

Debi, I like how you were able to get so many photos on this page - and the embellishments. The colors are just perfect. Everything you used kept the focus on the photos.

My pages has been sent on to Beki. Like Debi though, I added a second page because I had more photos I wanted to use. It only reveals the papers and photos I used, and looks nothing at all like the first page. :-)

WTG Julie! Doesn't it feel good to be doing this again?

Got it! Julie’s page is beautiful and inspiring! I may not be able to work on my version until this weekend, though.

Yes, Pam, it does. I wish I could get hit with that rush of inspiration that would keep me wanting to work on this a little each day. Joining this group again has been a major boost. But I still haven't fully shifted away from evenings of Netflix and wine. It's a habit sort of thing in the last year. And it's been really tough with my "office" being a corner of my craft room this past year. When the work day is over, I want to get out of there (here). I just need to get better about shutting down the work laptop at the end of the day so I don't start cutting paper and get distracted by the next "DING" coming from the work PC.
