Who is the pro for troubleshooting? Yes, probably User Error but I can’t get my photo to calibrate.

Definitely not a pro here, but have you tried something as simple as turning off/unplugging everything, and starting again?

Not yet. Will let you know. I might even have to learn the secrets of “compound path”. I’m being drug, kicking and screaming, into the world of technology.

Will check with Khristina if rebooting doesn’t work.

You see, that's the part that makes me not terribly anxious to embrace my Silhouette. If I wanted to fight with technology I'd take up digital scrapping. I look to this hobby as an opportunity to get away from the computer.

I was so excited to buy the mat thinking of all the cutting it could do for me. Now I know it requires more than 2 steps and I have no patience for it. SO many people have told me it's worth the learning curve. Imagine my level of skepticism...
I don't mind cutting out shapes from patterned papers that much.

Maybe that's something I need to tackle with my silhouette. I haven't played with that yet.
