Hero Arts Apr 2021

Post by Keitha »

I decided to buy this month's Hero Arts kit; I liked everything about it from the stamps to the rotating stencils to the Art Deco font. I don't make enough cards to subscribe, but they really are good value kits. The orange, raspberry and grape inks came with the kit; I added a couple other HA colours to the card with the random stamping, and some Nuvo embellishment mousse to the one with the grid lines. Two cards will go to friends I haven't seen in awhile, the card with the dog has the sentiment 'I'm glad you're in my circle' and will be a birthday card for a colleague.

I’m wanting to try those stencils, they look great on your cards. Good job.

I almost caved and bought those.... I have SO many animal stamps... and lately I've been buying other things so I had to stop myself somewhere. But they're super fun and now I want to make some cards with them. LOL

Great job, Keitha!!

Keitha I am so excited you posted your cards. LOVE them! Especially how you created the background with the critters. Brilliant! I must try that. This is one fantastic set of stamps, dies, inks and those stencils! I jumped right on it when the notification came out. Hope you don’t mind my adding to your post. Love the solid critters and the Art Deco style of the sentiments.

How beautiful Farley!

I was just thinking how often I buy new supplies and file them away instead of using them right away. I love that you both used this set while the excitement of "new" is still fresh!

Great cards, Farley! I can't decide which critter was the tipping point for me buying this; didn't hurt that there wasn't an element I didn't like. I agree about the solid critters - and had to laugh at the sentiment 'you're a solid friend'. One would only hope if you used that on a card your friend wouldn't take it the wrong way, LOL. I stuck close to the kit contents for my first cards, but am looking forward to pulling out additional inks.
