6x6 Class - Week 8 LOs

Here is my layout for week 8. I embellished with hearts because I couldn't figure out anything else. But I did actually bother with a title, so I feel pretty good about this one being done as-is. This is the last week I've got done ahead, and the next two weeks is an on-call 24/7 period at work with a massive system replacement for the whole university. So I'm likely to be playing catch up for the second half of this class.

Oh - and I used that stitching stamp set that Pam C pointed out a few weeks ago. I will never put paper through my sewing machine again, but I do love the look that these stamps create.

Great LO, Julie. I used the stamps, too! The photo of the LO is terrible - the sun washed it out.

THese are both really, really good!
I love that stamp set - especially that you can actually see where you're stamping.

What size squares did you cut?

Both layouts look really good. I really like the "stitching" and the squares.

I cut 1 1/2" squares. Almost wish I'd gone larger.

Thanks Pam. I thought they might be 1 1/2" but wasn't quite sure. Will have to give this sketch a try today.

Fantastic layouts Pam and Pam! I didn't expect to like this week's sketch, but it's actually been my favorite so far. Probably because it's more finished than so many of my prior ones, and I took the lesson learned of using a background paper with some interest.

a western theme one year at retreat.
Just used pen to draw lines instead of sewing,
