6 x 6 Class - Week 10 LOs

Post by pbp908 »

Week 11 is the companion page to this one and has the journaling.

Having a hard time today getting a decent photo - the sun can't decide if it wins or the clouds do. Half of those dratted letters came off while I was trying to get a photo so I had to glue them down. Love the way they look but will NOT buy any more of them. Tried scanning but the color was so off the paper looked yellow, so I gave up on that idea. It's one of those days.

The pages is beautiful and most all my thickers never stick. The foam Thickers are good but the others - I just glue them all. Pretty annoying. I did buy two stamp/die font sets. Nope, haven’t used them yet.

I agree about the thickers.. I glue down any plastic or cardboard ones... even if they DO still stick a little. The foam ones are great... stick every time!

And your layout is terrific... I need to be busy with that class. I lost momentum and need to get back to it!! Thanks for the nudge!

That's not even half of the containers! I think there are now 12 of them? Each container is 25 gallons, so they're large. When I start drying the house smells like an Italian restaurant and the cats go crazy when I harvest the catnip. The only thing not doing well is the rosemary and that's because the poor thing is root bound and needs to be transferred to a safe place away from the area the dogs can access. I gave up on the camomile and let the portulaca seedlings take over that one. The lemon grass would do a lot better if the dratted dogs would quit eating it. :-o

the cookies one is Maddy at 5 or 6. the other is Hope's 2 getting their braces off.
I cut the arrows by hand. I think I cut 30 or 40 then picked the best ones.

Beautiful Jill! And you did the arrows. I haven’t decided if I’ll attempt them or not. Great colors.

Jill, you're a braver woman than I am! I thought about using some arrow stamps but then decided on the leaves instead. Love both of your LOs!

Pam, I saw one LO in the album that used wooden arrows - slapped my head when I saw that one. Why didn't I think of that???

I like the arrows, Jill! They also look like they could be little buildings.

Pam - I love your layout, and since we're talking about the arrows, I think your layout looks great just the way it is. I've got two layouts awaiting titles, and I now have some confidence that maybe they don't need anything insane along the top and bottom. But I do think they need something, though I will not cut a bazillion arrows. Or a bazillion anything, for that matter.

And I've been wondering about that flower. I've seen that a couple of times, I think. And I love it. Is it a cut file? Or do you have a die or a punch or something? I'd love a die like that. I'm sure there's a PNG that I could cut, but a die is so much quicker.

Jill - I love your layouts, and I'm curious if you hand cut all of those blasted little arrows. They look perfect. I thought about using the cricut to cut some, but then I just decided that's not what I really wanted. I'm still kind of waivering.

My layouts are hopefully coming soon. They've been done for a while but both need titles and some kind of embellishment.

The flower is a die. I used the negative space from the cut to make the background for it. If I can remember where I bought it I'll edit this.

I think it's an older Gina K die. I just went through several sites trying to find it, but the closest I could find are some of the Memory Box floral dies. I had to quit looking because I was getting the urge to hit the purchase button too many times!

Thanks for looking! But don't go broke on my account. :-) I totally get it though. Product research usually involves far more spending than it should. LOL.
