Great job, Jill! I like the angles and the strips. Are they paper or washi?

Jill - great layout! I would not have thought of washi tape for this, but now I'm thinking about washi tape and ribbons. This one is a total brain block for me. I've got a few others that I've worked ahead on, but this week's sketch wasn't one of them. I need to hop to it.

Jill - Love the way you used the larger photos and reversed the photo and journaling. It's hard for me to think out of the box with sketches and you did a great job.

This is the companion page to Sketch #11. First time I've ever documented the container gardens. Maybe on one of the LOs I can take photos of all of the dried herbs. Anyone need some catnip or basil???

So pretty, Pam! And that flower die is starting to become something I'm obsessing over. I may need to find something similar, because it seems so incredibly useful.

I whipped this layout up in a hurry. I didn't even use 6x6 pads because it seemed like what's the point. I just went to the scrap bit and picked a bunch of random scraps for the strips. I probably should have just stuck with the stars for embellishments, but I had this pack of hiking stickers that I got specifically for these photos. Once they were down, I didn't love it, but I couldn't get them back up again without ripping everything. So they stay. :-)

Sorry for all of the Jake/Scout photos lately. I had been on a Nicole tear a few months ago, but with Jake, I have a lot of random single photos that just seemed to work reasonably well for these one page sketches. Nicole will get some feature pages in weeks 14 and 15. :D

I've had to hit my scrap bags several times. Love the Jake LOs.

Great interpretations! My brain was completely ignoring the two smaller photos. I printed my photos tonight. That’s as far as I’ve gotten.

Pam - You could stick with the general LO and use a larger photo in the place of the small ones. If I'd seen Jill's LO before I did mine that's what I would have done.

Luckily, I had the number of photos I need and can make the sketch work.
You could also make little embellishment clusters to use instead of the small photos.

That face!!! So cute. I love it. The layout is perfect. I had tried to find a background paper for mine that would be more interesting, but it was terrible with the strips. I should have gone with less pattern on the strips and used an interesting background. I love that look.
