Here’s how to punch the banners using a hexagon punch.

Anyone thought of using washi as part of your strips? It only just occurred to me this would be a good way to use some!

OMG. I have tried to use the hex punch for the tail, but have been thinking "but what about the front/pointy end???". I'm an idiot.

The only hex punches I have are from CM, and feeding skinny strips through is a little bit tough, but certainly no tougher than my woefully uneven snips with the scissors.

You are SO not an idiot! Even knowing how to do this, there was no way I could describe it in words. It was a “mind blown” moment the first time I saw it done.

That would have saved a lot of aggravation if I had a punch.

Wouldn't any punch with an angled sort of corner work? Like maybe a heart punch or a square punch?

Worth a try. I like the angle my hexagon punch makes.

Oh - this week’s sketch completely inspired me to adapt the sketch for #30dscbl8. So double post for this one.
